The Italian brand, famous for its association with leading global athletes and sports personalities, has fostered a relationship with ‘Lidoda Duvha’ with a view to recapturing the local market.
As one of the world's largest sport brands, Kappa sponsors a list ofsports stars and teams, and a wide range of US, African and European football teams, who all try to make dreams come true wearing Kappa.
Over the years many renowned and succesful football teams have worn the Kappa brand and Kappa are confident that they have made the correct decision to add Leopards to this elite category of football clubs.
This goes for, among others, Italian Sampdoria and Brescia,Dutch Feyenoord, German Werder Bremen,Spanish Real Betis, Swedish Hammarby and Danish FC Copenhagen.
Kappa are definitely not new to the local scene, having also sponsored the likes of signed partnerships with Mamelodi Sundowns F.C in 1985, Kaizer Chiefs in 1988, Bafana Bafana in their first ever sponsorship in 1991 as well as the Natal Sharks and many individual athletes.
