After the Black Leopards Awards, Captain Mongezi Bobe who achieved the player of the season award gave an exclusive one on one interview on his views and plans about his career as a Black Leopards Footballer.
Read all the Questions and Answer’s below to know what the excellent leader has in mind.

Blackleopardsfc.co.za: Welcome to the spotlight captain fantastic.
Mongezi Bobe: [Laughing…] thank you for having me and it is a pleasure.
BLFC: How do you feel having won the Player of the season Award?
Mongezi Bobe: As a player, when you’re honored by receiving an award, it’s a great feeling and it also boosts your confidence for the upcoming season, you push more and want to achieve more. For me it prepares me for better days to come.
BLFC: And I’m sure 7 goals with 25 League starts, you do feel that you deserve this award?
Mongezi Bobe: Uhm! Yeah I can say that but for me I do not look at the award, I just want to do my job and try to do well for the team because the most important thing is the team.
BLFC: Any goals for the next season? Do you think you will better your performance for the next season?
Mongezi Bobe: Yeah definitely, after this, I want to achieve more, my age as you might know is catching up; I’m an old man now. If we can finish in the top 4 and manage to win the league then I will say I have done my job.
BLFC: Lets elaborate on that age issue, where were you all of these years being such a good player?
Mongezi Bobe: [Laughs] you know people are asking me that question, sometimes you go to teams and things don’t go well, plus injuries, I was unfortunate to get an injury and that has been the stumbling stone in my career but now things are coming alright for me.
BLFC: Any plans to stay with the team as you say you’re quite aged right now so maybe you will stay with the team for long and maybe end up in the technical team?
Mongezi Bobe: You know if you can take a look at it, I received many offers last season, but actually as a player, it’s not about money and all those things. Honestly I’m happy where I am and Black Leopards has been taking very good care of me. I’ve talked to them about my plans and their plans also, so I think I’ll be here till I leave Football and maybe I’ll be part of the technical team if it happens.
