Off the pitch with Rodney

By:
01/26/2012 2:44 AM - Black leopards fc.net caught up with the very aspiring young player by the name of Rodney Ramagalela who recently made a South African under-23 international appearance. Leopards’ star striker picked up an injury while representing his country.

He is back  and is set to thrill crowds with his powerful running, strength, shooting ability and hunger for goals.

When Rodney gave us a moment of his time we had the pleasure of chatting to the young star and this is how it went;

Black leopards fc.net
: Morning Rodney.

Rodney Ramagalela
: Morning guys.

BL: Please tell us how it was to play for the under-23 squad.

RR: Well (thinking), for me it was a good experience of which I want more off. The team plays in an international standard as well as the opponents we played, so that shows the experience one can get from such tournaments.

BL: What did you take from that?

RR: like I’ve mentioned it is a great deal of experience and more so an opportunity for players like us to show case our talent in hope that we can get more recognition and maybe a call-up for the national team.

BL: Then there was the injury that you got, how bad was that?

RR: Yes the injury was a bit disappointing for me as no player likes to get injured and from time to time when it gets cold I would feel the effects of the injury but I had to be strong for me to be able to heal faster.

BL: And are you healing?

RR: Definitely, my fitness is also returning and as I mentioned I need to be strong and fight my way back to full fitness.

BL: Do you have any goals that you may want us to know about?

RR: well, I am very happy where I am. I enjoy playing for Black Leopards and I want to help the team fight so that we stay in the PSL (Absa Premiere Soccer league). Would like also to encourage my team mates and keep the spirit alive so that we may reach our targets.

Rodney wishes the team well and thanks the supporters as well for being behind the team all the time and hopes it will not change. He wishes the Black Leopards fans and everyone else a good and productive year.
