Leopards are indeed a happy home and Captain Bobe approved that with a big smile at the Press conference held in the PSL offices in Parktown Johannesburg.
Blackleopardsfc.com brings you one-on-one chat with the proud captain of Lidoda Duvha.
Blackleoardsfc.com: We welcome you Mongezi.
Mongezi Bobe: Thank you guys.
BL: What challenges are you expecting from the weekends game?
MB: In more ways than one playing against Kaizer Chiefs will be a motivation by itself. We are expecting them to come with all guns blazing. Another challenge will be the fact that they are familiar with Peter Mokaba Stadium and won’t be pressured, plus the fan support they have is big in Polokwane. But am sure we can handle them if we stick to the game plan and follow the given tactics by the coach.
BL: Any special tactics that have been added in training?
MB: I can just say that we try and listen to the coach and understand all the strategies. We have also been focusing on our finishing which was a bit slow in the beginning of the campaign.
BL: Will the past situation of not converting goals be of any effect?
MB: Not scoring goals is a thing of the past because now we are creating and scoring a lot of goals. Regarding the Nedbank fixture we will have to work as a team to both defend and attack in collaboration.
BL: You have 33 players at the camp, are they all happy?
MB: Every one of the players are happy and what makes me more happy is the fact that every player in the tea gets a chance to play and we train together with a spirit of unity with the joys of incredible understanding amongst the players and the coach. We have a common goal and with our position in the league it is our understanding that we need to fight together as a team if we are to survive the league and compete in Cup competitions at the same time.
BL: Massage to the fans?
MB: firstly I would like to thank them for the support because they show at the stadium whether it is good or bad news for the team. And as a gift we would like to make them proud on Saturday.
