While all other teams are just getting back to training from the end of season break, Black leopards are on their way to Sudan for the first leg of their CAF Confederations Cup against Al Merreikh.

The team departed this morning 27 June 2012. They are to take on Sudan’s Al Merrikh who will be without seven key players through injury and, their goalkeeper Essam Al-Hadary who has national team commitments.

Lidoda Duvha will have challenges of their own as they just came back from the off-season and the squad has undergone a few changes.

The team’s coach Sunday Chidzambwa says that there shouldn’t be any problems as he feels his team is ready and up for any challenge. “The team is a young team. I do not foresee any problems and as for performance there should not be much in change, these boys are capable and will do well,” said the much experienced coach.

“We are officially on the pre-season but we are also preparing for the CAF game. We are to leave for Sudan for the away game in the CAF but we want to use that as a form of pre-season as well,” concluded Sunday.

The teams will meet on the 30 June 2012 for their first leg and again on the 15 July 2012 for the return leg which will be a home game for Leopards.
