06/05/2012 4:42 AM - Come 2012/2013 season and Black Leopards will still be competing in the high flight of PSL football. Survival was key and Lidoda Duvha vowed to survive relegation after a shaky start in the previous season and that is just what happened.

Now we look at some of the reasons one may point out which helped us shape our own future in the PSL.



Strategically system
Black Leopards had about 33 players all season long. The key to their consistent performance is because of the rotation system they used to give all of these players a chance to play. Hence the impressive competing in 3 different competitions at one go. This system defeated fatigue and the over use of players as they all had one objective which all the players were happy to abide by.

Instructors and Coaches
The team’s coaches and instructors did a wonderful job in motivating the players and training them to perform on all kinds of conditions whether local or international. Travelling to Africa for the CAF Cup and around South Africa for the PSL matches had to have taken its tall but the team dealt with such things as easy as eating pie.

Team Spirit
There are groups and there are teams. A group is a number of people who have specific jobs and do what they have to do and not more than that, but a team is a number of people who are gathered together for a specific objective which they work hand in hand to achieve. Lidoda Duvha are a team who go the extra mile for each other and that is what carried the team to success.

Management
What is a team without the support of the management. The relationship from top management to the players, coaches, staff etc. is a well-developed affair. The management knows their place and job and the whole organization is familiar with their job criteria which makes working together a breeze.

Fans
Black and yellow are the colours and Lidoda Duvha is the name to chant. The Limpopo based team has a large fan base especially from the Limpopo region and not forgetting other parts of the country. These fans are what the team sweats to impress and they appreciate the efforts with getting behind the team whether rainy or sunny. They had the last laugh when the team rallied to victory on our last game of the season. Against all odds we survived the PSL battle and we are here to stay.
